Coconut Cake From Scratch

This was my first time baking a Coconut Cake, and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I baked it from scratch, and I did put some coconut flakes in the batter. It's coconutty inside- out :)
 

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Coconut Flakes (Shredded Coconut)
3 Cups All Purpose Flour
2 Cups Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
4 tbsp Cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Mixed Spice
2 1/2 Cups Liquid Coconut Milk
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 tbspVanilla

Method
Prepare a baking pan.
Sift flour into a bowl. Add sugar, coconut flakes, baking powder, baking soda, salt and mixed spice. Combine properly. In a separate container, combine coconut milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients and combine properly.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit  for 30 to 35 minutes.
